I had one of those days when I literally had to push myself out the door to workout. Normally I love the weekends to workout-fewer time constraints, and now the weather is becoming more enjoyable. Yesterday, my son, wife, and I went boating all day-it was beautiful out on the lake, and in retrospect, I think the water and the sun took the starch out of me. Today was tough. I struggled for the first 10 minutes, wanting to just pack it in, but after the 10 minute mark it seemed to get easier. I stopped at 25 minutes, and I have to say it wasn’t my finest hour, but I did something. I want you to know that I am human too, and I won’t judge. If you have one of those days, or several, try to push through it. You’ll feel much better for it.

If you’ve ever had a small splinter, you know how annoying they can be. I used to try using a credit card, soaking in hot water, even a needle. There is something much easier-Elmer’s glue-all. Just put it on the splinter, let it dry, then peel it off-the splinter should come out with the glue.

Stay well, John R Blilie, M.S.
