Ahhhh, school has started again, and with it comes the inevitable-illnesses spreading among the kids. My son, Alex, came down with what is some sort of virus last night-sore throat, cough, fever, fitful sleeping. This school season is expected to be the worst for flu (H1N1) in some time. I feel bad for Alex. I know that when I get sick, which isn’t often, I vow to take much better care of myself when I recover. But what if you get sick and don’t get better? And what if you could have had the antidote in your personal medicine cabinet the whole time? EXERCISE has proven time and time again to bolster your immune system. There are no excuses. Please get off your backsides.

Did you know that 55% of government funds for school lunch commodities are spent on meat and cheese, and just 23% on fruit and vegetables. I think we can all agree that the meat and cheese aren’t from grass-fed, hormone free livestock……..Teach (feed) your children well.

Stay well, John R Blilie, M.S.
