I look forward to Saturdays-it’s the day I work out with my son Alexander. Not only is it important for adults to get activity, but children need it also. With the advent of computers and video games, less PE and recess time at school, kids are getting fatter. I recently saw the results of a study that showed many 10 year olds had arterial sclerotic changes similar to many adults in there 40’s. Frightening! The important thing to keep in mind when exercising with kids is to keep it fun. Alexander and I do mini rebounder, throw medicine balls, do crawling activities such as spiderman and inchworm, pullups, pushups, etc. Sometimes we get the dog involved in a game of keepaway. It’s not hard to stay active, pass on your values to kids, and have fun. Stay well. John
