I put up a new video on some ab/core exercises on YouTube today-it should be on my website in a couple of days. If you want to see them now, visit YouTube. The reason I did a video on abs is that I see people doing crunch after crunch while lying on the floor, which is a waste of time. Anytime you lie down, half of your core muscles shut off because you don’t have to deal with gravity, and how often, during the course of a day, is that a real issue? Crunches were taught to us for years; first were straight leg sit-ups and leg raises. Next came bent knee sit-ups to protect the back. Neither position is great for the back or neck. And, the most important job for the abdominal muscles is to protect your spine from bending too far backwards. Isn’t it best to strengthen the abs/core that way?
