Most of you know that I’m not a big fan of Big Pharma. Oh, I realize that they have developed several needed drugs that have kept people alive longer than they would have lived otherwise. But on many occasions, drugs have been rushed to market, only to show that they create more health issues than they help. A recent case in point; Merck developed a HPV virus called Gardasil, and lobbied the states extremely hard to have it mandated that all adolescent/teen girls be vaccinated to prevent HPV, or human papillo virus, which can be transmitted by having unsafe sex. At least 32 deaths and thousands of cases of spontaneous abortions, severe illnesses, and paralysis have been tied to Gardasil, according to Judicial Watch, the Washington, D.C. based public-interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption. According to a statement made by Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton, the FDA adverse event report on the vaccine “reads like a catalog of horrors.” “Any state or local government now beset by Merck’s lobbying campaigns to mandate this HPV vaccine for young girls ought to take a look at these adverse health reports. It looks as if an unproven vaccine with dangerous side effects is being pushed as a miracle drug.”
One report, No. 275438-1, describes the reaction as coronary artery thrombosis, sudden cardiac death. “Given Gardasil vaccine dose #1 3/12/07. Collapsed and died on 3/26/07… Echocardiogram revealed very enlarged right ventricle, small left ventricle as well as large blood clots within both the right atrium & right ventricle.”
A second report noted that the woman was vaccinated and “died of a blood clot 8 hours after getting the Gardasil vaccine.”
I heard of another instance yesterday. A medical doctor back east had his oldest daughter get the vaccine; she was a healthy junior in high school playing varsity volleyball. Within a few weeks, she lost muscle strength and control, and is now showing signs of ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The father-doctor is in absolute horror, realizing his maistake.
Incredibly, the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and Merck (obviously), claim that there is no evidence that these people wouldn’t have died or gotten the diseases anyway. Are you kidding me? Don’t you love SPIN? The pharmaceutical companies have schooled the doctors in SPIN extremely well. Most doctors give out these vaccines without a second thought, and when questions are asked about the safety, we’re always told “it’s an extremely rare event.” Tell me if you’ve heard that one before…..
On a related note, the swine flu vaccine was given out like candy, yet a survey of doctors showed that 65% did not take the vaccine themselves. Actions speak volumes…….. I’ll keep tabs on Gardasil, and provide updates when I can, but this vaccine is only the tip of the iceberg.
