I heard the results of a study today that you’ll probably not hear in the media. 400 subjects were randomly selected and followed for 13 years. These subjects ranged in age from 40-60, and had no history of bowel disease. Half were given antioxidant supplements which contained vitamins A, C, & E, zinc, selenium, and calcium. After 13 years, the group taking supplements had a 40% less chance of developing polyps than the other group. Such great numbers should be trumpeted by health care providers everywhere, but you likely won’t hear anything. Why? Because nobody stands to make any money from natural supplements. It is much more profitable for doctors to send a cable and scissors up your rear end. I’m not bashing all doctors-there are many good ones who actually care about your health, but there are also those only in it for the moolah. I’ll do my best to uncover and report these obscure trials to you.

Stay well, John R Blilie, M.S.
