I’m excited. It’s been six weeks today since I’ve begun my personal quest to lose the 10 pounds that crept up over the winter. So far, I’ve lost 7.5 pounds, and my blood pressure has dropped from 140/90 to 112/72. And, I have not counted calories. I have eliminated beer and wine, and have been working out five days/week, with no exercise session exceeding 20 minutes in duration. A few sessions have been as short as 13 minutes. I took a picture of my belly at the start, again at four weeks, and will do so again at eight weeks.
I’ve noticed that I have more energy, and my clothes fit better. When I jump rope, I’m lighter on my feet, and feel that I’m quicker and more agile, both great things for balance.
When I get to my goal, hopefully by the eight-week mark, I will post the belly pictures and shoot a video of my workouts.
Stay well, John R Blilie, M.S.
