Hello, I’m back and have just finished reading a great book on Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) by Paul Bragg, N.D. Ph.D, called Apple Cider Vinegar-Miracle Health System. I want to share some of the exciting things I read in this book. I’ve been on this ACV kick for ~1 year, though not as disciplined as I ought to be until now.

Apples are a “super-food”-we all remember the adage, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Apples are a rich source of potassium, which is to the soft tissues of the body what calcium is to the bones. Potassium helps to relax the arterial walls, keeping them more flexible and warding off the buildup of plaque. Potassium also fights bacteria and viruses. It’s a must for inclusion into the diet. Refined, processed foods remove vital potassium, leading to low potassium levels and sickness.

Are you aware that the #1 cause of sickness is bad nutrition? It’s bad nutrition that allows germs to gain a foothold in our bodies-a body that has it’s full quota of vitamins and minerals makes it impossible to have germs invade the bloodstream. No germs = a healthy life.

Natural (undistilled) ACV is made from crushed organic apples which are then left to ferment. Natural ACV should be a rich brownish color and if held to the light you may see a tiny cobweb-like substance at the bottom of the bottle. This substance is called “mother”. When you open a bottle of natural ACV there should be a pungent odor-some are so natural and ripened they will pucker you mouth.

ACV is great for: weight loss, indigestion, cell detoxification, headaches, low back pain, dizziness, arthritis, kidney and bladder problems, strengthens the heart (which uses a lot of potassium), gallstones, helps shrink the prostrate, muscle cramps, and more. For more information on dosage, please respond to this email. I also urge you to buy the book by Dr. Bragg I mentioned in the opening. If you want your car (your body) to run great and last a long time, put in good gas (nutrition).

Look and feel younger-be aware of your posture and straighten up. We have all seen this premature sign of aging- someone stooped over with rounded shoulders. Stand tall, sit tall, stretch up your spine-this gives your organs room to work more efficiently.

Stay well, John R. Blilie, M.S.
