John R. Blilie of Have It Health, L.L.C. offers in-home services for a wide range of physical conditions and abilities. John specializes for the needs of a geriatric population. The amount and form of exercise will be determined by several factors, including current physical condition, medical history, if a joint has been replaced, etc. John will establish a specific exercise regimen for one’s particular needs, and keep your physician current on your progress.
John has worked with patients with cancer, post-stroke, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, various forms of arthritis, scoliosis, low back pain, joint replacements, rotator cuff problems, and ambulation problems.
Some of the services he offers are:
- Aquatic Therapy
- Muscle Balance and Strengthening
- Range of Motion Exercises
- Relaxation techniques
- Balance Training
- Proper technique to performing activities of daily living (ADL’s)
Exercise is one part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Treatment plans also may include rest and relaxation, proper diet, medication, and instruction about proper use of joints and ways to conserve energy (that is, not waste motion) as well as the use of pain relief methods.
Exercise cannot cure most diseases, but it is a powerful tool for maximizing function and for controlling the emotional, physical, and societal losses associated with disease.
